Product Description

The Central Model A97 and A97H Hose Valves are designed for use as a fire department outlet connection or for use in a fire hose rack assembly. The Hose Valves are available in 1½" or 2½" sizes male or female national hose thread by female national pipe thread*.

The Central Model A97/A97H Hose Valves are UL Listed and FM Approved. The Central Model A97/A97H Hose Valves provide positive shut off and are suitable for cold water service only. They are rated at 300 psi working pressure.

The hand wheel is manufactured from high strength ductile iron, giving extra resistance to breakage. The Central Model A97/A97H Hose Valves are tested twice, both times with air under water, to ensure consistent quality. Options available include cap (plug for the A97H) and chain for both sizes and 2½" x 1½" brass adapters to allow transition to 1½" hose lines.

* The Model A97 has a male hose thread outlet and the A97H has a female hose thread outlet. Both models have national pipe thread inlets.

Care & Maintenance

The Model A97 and A97H must be maintained in accordance with NFPA 25 Standard entitled, “Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems”.
